The church of Passo San Ginesio is the youngest church in the municipal area, in contrast to that of San Michele which appears to be the oldest in San Ginesio. Its construction and the rectory, connected to the main structure through the sacristy, occurred between 1958 and the 1962, even if the consecration was carried out only in 1965, with the celebration of the Holy Mass and the temporary positioning of the altar for the functions. On 26 July 1979 the diocesan Ordinary of the Diocese of Camerino-San Severino Marche published the decree requesting the move of the parish headquarters to the new church, previously located in the church of San Giovanni Battista in the Campanelle hamlet, request which was then confirmed by the decree of the President of the Republic, n. 249, of 25 February 1983. With the earthquake of 2016 and 2017 the church was one of the few in the municipality to remain accessible.

History
External
The church, built following the stylistic concept of neorealism and with a hexagonal plan, it is made with pink stones that cover a plastered reinforced concrete structure, which becomes a decorative part at the entrance and along the bell tower roof. The entrance, with a masonry portal that protrudes towards the square for about one metre, it is surmounted by a triangular glass window of various colours, glass windows that can also be found along the perimeter of the structure to create a natural divider between the decorative masonry and concrete part. The bell tower, which rises from the center of the roof with a branched structure that divides into six parts, it was originally designed to house the bells, an idea that was never followed up on.
Interior
As well as the outside, Even the interior is different than the original design. The floor is made of arabesque marble, with shades that vary from red, to gray and white. In the center of the church you can find a large cross which, previously, it had to be surrounded by paving. The crucifix, as well as the tabernacle, the ambo and the baptismal front, they are the work of Arnaldo Mazzanti. Above the entrance is the choir accessible by means of a concrete staircase fixed to the wall.
Parish archive and library
The church has a small archive and a small parish library, cared for and wanted by the first parish priest, Don Pietro Paolo Ferretti. The archive contains numerous letters, photographs and texts regarding the churches distributed in the parish territory, which are combined with some documents from the old parish archive of the church of San Giovanni Battista. The cataloging of documents stopped in the 1990s, and then resume in 2011 with Don Giovanni Liverotti.
