From the memory of a pacification between sister factions to the celebration of a friendship capable of bridging the furrow of the centuries.
In the context of the prestigious historical re-enactment of The Return of the Exiles, thatSan Ginesio celebrated yesterday afternoon (ed. Sunday 20 June) the memory of the peace between the Ginesian factions sanctioned in 1450 thanks to the diplomacy of the City of Siena, which allowed the return home from the exile of 300 guinea, in the presence of the Sienese figures with trumpets, drums, banner door of the Municipality of Siena and the Magistrate of the Contrade together with the very important Labaro and the presence of the figures and drummers from Ginesini. The deputy mayor of SienaAndrea Corsi and the mayor of San GinesioGiuliano Ciabocco in the Sant'Agostino Auditorium scenario, they signed the "Friendship Pact" between the Municipalities of Siena and San Ginesio, document that regulates the promotion of exchanges of a tourist nature, cultural and economic between the two territories and between schools, in order to encourage meetings between young people to make them aware of the comparison with peers rooted in different and wider contexts; between cultural institutions for the realization of musical meetings, theatrical performances, exhibitions, conferences and conventions in order to foster awareness of the cultural context that characterizes the two social realities and to promote the integration process; between sports associations for the organization of competitions in various disciplines, for advanced courses in specific disciplines, for the realization of rallies or races, all initiatives that represent a factor of union and friendship between the two communities; between trade associations to promote agricultural activities, industrial and commercial, through comparative studies of technological and management systems, exchanges of professionalism and databases. A program of exchange initiatives on both the cultural and artistic and economic-professional sides will also be activated between the two communities with a proximity also witnessed through culture.: from a volume published by the Sienese publishing house Betti entitled “The return of the exiles”, to commemorate the episode of over six centuries ago in a literary form, a theatrical work was born that will be performed on Sunday 27 June at 19:00 right in Siena in the splendid setting of the Medici Fortress which will have a solidarity purpose to continue to build that bridge of friendship capable of bridging the furrow of the centuries. The theatrical performance is by “The Strange Company” in collaboration with the Dance School “The goblin” of Macerata.
