The first food package was delivered yesterday by the Mayor of San Ginesio Giuliano Ciabocco which, in the run-up to the Christmas holidays, has decided to give a significant signal of closeness and support to the entire community and local companies.
The organizational machine has already started in recent days: The first thing we had to do was involve the production activities that made the goods available, and then proceed with the assembly of the products, to packaging and finally start the demanding process of distribution throughout the municipal territory.
It is still a work in progress regarding thedelivery of 1300 envelopes intended for all families and approximately 300 food parcelswhich will be delivered to families with at least one eighty year old at home.
In both cases the delivery will take place with the greeting message written by Mayor Ciabocco.
As can be seen from the specific council resolution, the general criteria for the assignment of "urgent food solidarity measures" are aimed at families including the weakest sections of society, like the elderly, i Minor, lonely people, citizens who found themselves in quarantine and self-isolation, direct and indirect, with inevitable psycho-socio-economic consequences on the family situation, employment and right to education.eADV
“This health emergency – declares the Mayor – it involved everyone, albeit at different levels, from every point of view, from physical health to mental and even emotional health. Think for example of all those families with elderly people, not always self-sufficient, and, in the worst cases, to those who have lost loved ones. The administration must make its closeness felt towards all citizens and at the same time also support local economic activities".
The distribution of the parcels will involve the entire municipal administration together with many friends, volunteers and local associations, such as the Carabinieri on leave, the Civil Protection, that of the paratroopers, of the Alpine troops and the "San Ginesio calcio" sports club who immediately understood the important message of closeness of this initiative.
